Put a scanned document back in order
Use a custom sequence to repair a scan assembled in the wrong order. Enter 3,1,2 to move page three to the front, or use descending ranges such as 6-1 to reverse a section. The output follows your selection exactly.
Fix the order of scanned pages
Reordering helps when a scanner places an attachment before its cover or a section arrives in the wrong position. The sequence determines what is included, so an omitted page is left out of the result. Use Page numbers afterward if the packet needs new visible numbering.
Before you start
Pages omitted from the sequence are left out. Repeating a page number creates another copy in the output. If you want to preserve every page, check that each original page appears once in your final sequence.
How to use Reorder pages
- Find the page positions
Upload your PDF and identify the pages in the preview.
- Build the new sequence
Use the page controls or enter a sequence such as 3,1,2,4-6. Include every page you want in the output.
- Check the new reading order
Download the PDF and review transitions between sections. Printed page numbers are not automatically rewritten.
Reorder pages questions
Will the printed page numbers update?
No. Reordering moves existing pages without editing their printed contents. Add new numbering separately if needed.
What happens if I leave a page out?
The output follows the sequence you submit. A page that is not in that sequence is not included.
Can I rearrange pages from several PDFs?
Merge the PDFs first, then reorder the resulting document. Check the new physical page positions after merging.
What happens to my files?
Files are private to your session or account. Free downloads expire after 2 hours; Pro downloads after 7 days. You can delete them sooner from your workspace.
