Clean up a document before sharing
Remove blank scans, obsolete appendices or pages that belong to another document. Enter the pages to delete; every other page stays in its original order. For example, entering 1,7 removes the first and seventh pages.
Clean up a scanned packet
A scan may contain a blank reverse side, an extra cover or the same receipt twice. Removing these pages makes the file easier to read and can reduce its size. It does not remove individual words or confidential regions within a page.
Before you start
At least one page must remain. Deleting a page removes that page from the output, but does not remove matching text elsewhere. Preview and review the complete result before distributing a document containing sensitive information.
How to use Remove pages

Check which pages are blank, duplicated or no longer needed.
- Mark the pages to remove
Enter the unwanted page positions or select their thumbnails. Keep at least one page in the document.
- Download the shorter PDF
Review the joins between sections and make sure you have not removed a page needed for context.

Are the selected pages kept or removed?
This tool removes the selected pages. Use Extract pages when you want your selection to be the only pages in the output.
Can I remove every page?
No. A valid output needs at least one page. Select fewer pages if your removal list covers the entire document.
Can this hide sensitive text on a page?
Removing a page removes that whole page from the output. To remove only a region, use Redact PDF and inspect the result.
What happens to my files?
Files are private to your session or account. Free downloads expire after 2 hours; Pro downloads after 7 days. You can delete them sooner from your workspace.
