Remove encryption from a PDF you can open

You must know a valid password. This tool does not guess passwords or bypass access controls. The output no longer requires the password, so choose its storage and recipients carefully.
How to use Unlock PDF
- Choose the protected PDF
Upload a file you are authorized to unlock.
- Enter its current password
Open the password-protected PDF options and supply the correct password.
- Save the unlocked copy
Download the result and check that it opens without a password. Store it according to its contents.

Can I unlock a PDF without knowing its password?
No. Supply the correct password for an encrypted file. FolioSprint does not perform password recovery or cracking.
Why is the preview unavailable?
Encrypted PDFs may not render in the preview. Enter the current password in the tool options; processing can still proceed.
Can I change the password instead?
Use Protect PDF with the current password and a new password to create a newly encrypted copy.
What happens to my files?
Files are private to your session or account. Free downloads expire after 2 hours; Pro downloads after 7 days. You can delete them sooner from your workspace.
