Keep text edges clean in page images
PNG uses lossless image compression, which is useful for screenshots, diagrams and text-heavy page previews. The page is still rasterized at the chosen resolution: zooming cannot recover detail that was not rendered. A PNG can be larger than a comparable JPG.
Before you start
PNG usually produces larger files than JPG, especially for photographic scans. Text becomes pixels rather than editable or searchable content. Keep the original PDF if you need document navigation, text selection or later editing.
How to use PDF to PNG

Check which physical page positions you need.
- Set the resolution
Choose Standard or High and enter a page range if you do not need the whole document.
- Review the PNG files
Extract a multi-page ZIP if needed. Check the image dimensions and small text before placing the images elsewhere.
PDF to PNG questions
Will the PNG stay sharp at any zoom?
No. PNG preserves the rendered pixels, but it is still a raster image. Export at the resolution appropriate to your intended size.
Is each PDF page a separate PNG?
Yes. A multi-page result is delivered in a ZIP containing one image per selected page.
Should I choose JPG instead?
JPG often produces smaller photographic images. PNG is a useful choice for text, line art and screenshots where compression artifacts are distracting.
What happens to my files?
Files are private to your session or account. Free downloads expire after 2 hours; Pro downloads after 7 days. You can delete them sooner from your workspace.
